Training and Development
No matter what the issue, our approach is based on developing health & care managers to meet real challenges. Whether classroom or online, scheduled or self-led, we train your teams in the skills they need to manage complex health & care issues.
Nothing builds development like success, so we work with your team on a real issue throughout the training, giving them access to experts. We use facilitated team development sessions and 1:1 coaching, supported by online resources.
We deliver courses on:
•Customer service
•Workforce planning
•Cost improvement
And can design bespoke training for your team.
We are working with the Association of Health and Care Workforce Planning (AHCWP) to bring together experts and resources supporting workforce planning. This is underpinned by The Bumper Book of Health and Care Workforce Planning which sets out an easy-to-follow approach for managers at all levels.
Consultancy
The Health and Care sector is perennially challenged by cost reduction and workforce planning, along with a whole host of issues. These complex issues require the whole organisation to work together and sometimes organisations just don’t have the skills or resources to tackle such problems.
We can work with your organisation to build support and put in place the structures needed to succeed and sustain.
This includes:
•Executive clarity and sponsorship
•Programme management
•Embedded metrics
•Review and remedial coaching
•Training and development
Systems
People need the tools and techniques to use as part of their development, and the organisation needs a common language and approach. To ensure that we embed the change, we source and provide the relevant tools and techniques for your teams.
We can create modelling tools and dashboards to help your team monitor and communicate progress.
We can create bespoke Workforce Planning tools or guide your team in accessing and using existing tools and approaches including:
WRaPT
The Workforce Repository and Planning Tool is a nationally available on-line tool which allows users to maintain a view of their current staff at detailed and overview level, and model the impact of changes (such as workforce, activity, role changes and efficiency) on required staffing models. Backed up with an approach, user guide and on-line training, WRaPT is currently used by more than 40 teams in different areas of health and social care.
TAQAA
Taqaa is a workforce planning tool which allows organisations to record current and future staffing levels across multiple years. Using either staffing ratios or volume and time combinations, the tool highlights issues between current and expected levels and permits detailed workforce planning interventions at team, staff group and individual level. It is currently used in the Eastern Health Cluster in Saudi Arabia.
