Last year, Jacque Mallander and Colin Lewry wrote an article about the importance of treating staff as assets rather than costs. They had a look to see what had changed – and found that things had got worse in the last year, with a much greater focus on cost – which they think will actually reduce efficiency. So, they’ve updated the article – things will probably continue to get worse before they get better – but it is even more important now to treat staff as the valuable assets they are.
